FAQ

Purchases & Restore Purchases

- If you reinstalled the app or changed devices, use “Restore Purchases” in Settings to recover your previous purchases. You must be signed in with the same App Store account used to buy the product.

Subscription vs One‑time Purchase

- Subscription includes all pro features during your active period. One‑time purchase permanently unlocks the same pro features for this major version. They are mutually exclusive: if you own the lifetime license, you don’t need the subscription.

Trials (Subscription Trial / In‑App Trial Days)

- Subscription trials: you won’t be charged during the trial. Cancel any time before it ends to avoid billing.
- In‑app trial days: we may provide limited-time trials for certain features. When the trial expires, features revert to the free tier unless you subscribe or purchase.

Connection Guide

iDAM (USB Audio/MIDI)

  • Connect device via USB; enable “Trust This Computer”.
  • On macOS, open Audio MIDI Setup → enable iOS device for MIDI/Audio.
  • Select Muse Pad as MIDI input/output in your DAW.

rtpMIDI (Network)

  • Ensure both devices are on the same LAN (same subnet).
  • On macOS: Audio MIDI Setup → MIDI Studio → Network → create a Session and connect.
  • On Windows: install rtpMIDI, create a session, and connect the device.

Bluetooth MIDI

  • Enable Bluetooth on both devices.
  • On macOS: Audio MIDI Setup → Bluetooth → connect the device.
  • Select Muse Pad as MIDI device in your host app.

Common Issues

  • Local network permission: allow “Local Network” access if prompted.
  • Same subnet: confirm both devices share the same Wi‑Fi/LAN segment.
  • Multicast: ensure the network/router allows multicast traffic (required by some discovery protocols).

Troubleshooting

No MIDI Not Working

  1. Verify MIDI input/output routing and channels match.
  2. Restart the app and re‑plug USB / re‑connect network session.
  3. On mobile/desktop, allow microphone/local network permissions if requested.
  4. Try another cable/port or different network (2.4G vs 5G).

Latency Ranking & Tips

Wired < Network (rtpMIDI) < Bluetooth. Wired is almost imperceptible. Network and Bluetooth may be noticeable depending on traffic and interference.

  • Prefer wired connections for live performance.
  • Use 5GHz Wi‑Fi or clean LAN for rtpMIDI; avoid congested networks.
  • Keep Bluetooth devices close; reduce interference.
